Samesex Wedding in Hancock Park, Los Angeles Wedding - David + Adam

David and Adam’s love story is so beautiful and pure to me.

Adam, a lawyer, had never wanted to get married.
Life works mysteriously as there I was, photographing his wedding with David, a wonderful teacher.
They’re a couple who care and worry about others. You’re immediately accepted, too, and if you know someone like them in your life, you’re just so lucky. There was so much love and fun at this wedding in Hancock Park, where Adam once used to live, and was officiated by their two beloved judge friends.

Oh, their wedding rings, by the way, were bought on Amazon.com, and they wear the same ring sizes, so during the wedding ceremony, they simply exchanged each other’s ring that they had been wearing as engagement rings. This was super adorable to me.

Intimate Malibu Wedding - David + Zar

David and Zar live in Vancouver, Canada but their summer wedding held at Gull's Way in Malibu with close friends and family. Gull's Way is the late TV personality Dick Clark's house, and in fact, Beyonce was apparently staying next door to this estate for a quick vacation during their wedding ceremony. This international couple met in 2009 online and decided to settle in Vancouver, but Zar was born in Malaysia and grew up in Tel Aviv, Israel while David was born in San Diego but grew up in Westlake Village (between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara). I always wonder what my wedding would be and honestly, I get ideas from my own clients every weekend. And this intimate wedding with about 30 people would probably be mine if there's a wedding. I'm not sure if my family can make it (like Zar's family couldn't), but I know the wedding will be filled with emotions like theirs - nervousness, excitement, happiness, and a little bit of sadness for those who couldn't physically be there.

Santa Monica Beach Wedding - Elopment, Danielle + Sue - love is love

"Dog lovers. Sushi and chicken Teriyaki."

I don't know if I have a problem but I enjoy finding similarities with couples I photograph, and certainly it wasn't an exception for these two wonderful souls. Perhaps, it's how I find my own comfort in this strangely beautiful world. I tend to play this game in my head alone over and over again. Yes, I'm weird.

Danielle and Sue "eloped" in Santa Monica with their one best friend and two chihuahua pups. They simply wanted to celebrate their love privately because it felt right and perfect. One of the reasons why I love what I do so much is because of people like Danielle and Sue; we just couldn't stop laughing and smiling all this afternoon.

To me, this was the best.
